Get to know Tim Bergqvist, “Our Senior Recruitment Specialist”
How do you tailor your recruitment process to meet the unique needs of different companies?
Research is always going to be key; however, for me, I really put a lot of emphasis on adding the human touch and some humor as well. The industry has been far too heavy on old systems in combination with automation. After all, we are working with people, and people want to talk to people.
What’s your proudest moment since becoming a recruiter here?
We recently had a project to build an internal IT function for a client based on three different roles, where the collaboration with the stakeholders worked flawlessly, resulting in a completed project within 36 days, and an average time-to-hire of 27 days. That was a great result, which shows that going the extra mile really does generate great outcomes.
What’s a fun or unique activity you do outside of work that helps recharge you for your role?
I'm into ultra cycling. To some, it may come across as a bit odd, but I genuinely love being out there on my own with my bike, pedaling for hours and hours.
What personal values align most with the company’s mission?
I do like the "honesty." When I work, I do it with as much transparency as possible, only leaving out the details I simply can't share. Recruitment as a function is not very complicated; we work to find the best possible fit for a need that our clients have while making sure it's the best fit for the candidate. It does not have to be more complicated than it is, and the honesty is usually appreciated.
How would your colleagues describe your personality in three words?
I believe it would be along the lines of: Positive, genuine, and caring.
Which office pet would you want to adopt? (we can add a picture of the dog!)
Well, it would be hard for me to say anything else but Sema. He is my family member, after all. Fun fact: he was already adopted once, as he was a street dog in Greece before we took him to Sweden!
If the team had a theme song or motto, what would it be?
Something like "Enjoy the ride" would most likely describe our way of working. The pace is high, and you learn a lot, but it is tough from time to time.
What’s one “superpower” you’d say is necessary to thrive in this company?
Being able to enjoy both highs and lows, the feeling when things go really well will always be worth the battle through the times when you have hit rock bottom.
